McGee will help as part of Berger’s investment sales, land brokerage and acquisitions and dispositions services for both corporate clients and private investors. Bill is a Fort Lauderdale native and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) majoring in Public Administration.

With more than 15 years of experience in commercial real estate including managing programs for REO rehabilitation as well as innovative programs aimed at selling and purchasing development sites, office, medical, retail, ranch, agricultural, recreational, mobile home and RV resort properties commercially throughout Florida, McGee joins Berger Commercial’s Fort Lauderdale office from JLL where he served as a Director for the Capital Markets Group investment sales advisory team.

Berger Commercial Realty/Corfac International Vice President Brian Batchelder represented the buyer, UNITS®, in the purchase of a 23,200-square-foot warehouse located at 1700 NW 33rd Street in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Coastal Waste & Recycling of Broward County, LLC sold the facility, which is situated on 1.88 acres of land, for $4,500,000. SVN Commercial Realty’s Keith Kidwell, Steven Davis, and Les Byron represented the seller in the transaction.

Berger Commercial Realty’s Jonathan Thiel, John Forman Negotiate Two Industrial Lease Deals Totaling 28,000 SF

Berger Commercial Realty/Corfac International (BCRC) Senior Sales Associates Jonathan Thiel and John Forman represented landlord East Port Center, LLC in two lease deals totaling 28,002 square feet at East Port Center, an industrial distribution facility located at 1881-1887 W State Road 84 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, within the Marina Mile district.

Michael Moecker & Associates, a law firm specializing in comprehensive insolvency and fiduciary services, executed a lease deal for 18,670 square feet, renewing its lease of 14,000 square feet and expanding its footprint by 4,670 square feet for a five-year term. Will Reynoso with Moecker Realty represented the tenant in the lease deal.

Muston Group International, LLC (MGI), a yacht servicing company, leased 9,332 square feet for a term of 38 months.
There was no co-broker in the deal.

Totaling 108,500 square feet, East Port Center is comprised of four buildings with a mix of flex and industrial bays with dock high loading. The center offers excellent access to all major highways and is located just minutes from Port Everglades and the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport.

“We were able to fill all of the available spaces during the pandemic at market rates, bringing the facility to 100% occupied,” commented Thiel.

The tenants were attracted to the center because of its proximity to the Port and Airport.

Berger Commercial Realty/Corfac International Senior Vice Presidents Keith Graves, CCIM and St. George Guardabassi and Sales Associate James Karrat represented seller 1500 South Dixie, LLC in the sale of two industrial buildings located at 1500 S. Dixie Highway and 1610 S Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Pompano Crown LLC, represented by Barry Katz, with Global Connections Realty, Inc., purchased the buildings for $3,330,00, with plans to renovate and re-lease the currently vacated space. The buildings were previously occupied by Smith Manufacturing, which operated out of both buildings.

The deal closed January 28.

“This transaction marks a renewed interest in Pompano Beach, and specifically this corridor of Dixie Highway,” explained Graves. “Pompano Beach has taken a proactive approach to development and zoning and we look for continued regentrification in the area. Examples include a new multi-family / mixed use complex across the street, which will transform the former salvage yard into a thriving Arts and Industrial area that Pompano Beach is striving for.”

Totaling 34,522 square feet, both buildings are situated on approximately 1.4 acres of land. The 1610 S. Dixie building comprises 25,180 square feet of industrial warehouse space and 2,700 square feet of office space. The building features 8 large hurricane-resistant street level overhead doors, 16′ clear height, 2 overhead crane rails, 3 phase heavy electrical power and windows in a portion of the warehouse for natural lighting. The 1500 S. Dixie building, which totals 9,342 square feet, is more of a flex property that includes office and warehouse space that features ten bays and offers complete access on all four sides for parking and loading. Berger Commercial Realty/Corfac International Senior Sales Associate Jonathan Thiel, Sales Associate John Forman, and Senior Vice President Joseph Byrnes, on behalf of Landlord Blackhawk Properties & Investments, LLC, negotiated a 7,973-square-foot 10-year lease deal with local law firm Gutterman Trial Group at the 550 Building, one of Fort Lauderdale’s newest office/retail projects.

Gutterman Trial Group is a Florida civil litigation firm dedicated to representing insurance carriers and their policyholders. The practice encompasses an array of matters, including property, casualty, coverage, extra-contractual, subrogation, reinsurance, construction, marine and yacht, transportation and cargo claims. The firm will be relocating from its current location at 200 East Broward Boulevard.

Cushman & Wakefield’s A.J. Belt and Jeff Holding represented the tenant, which was attracted to the 550 Building due to the new construction, flexible floorplans, and proximity to the new Broward County Courthouse.

Gutterman Trial Group will be joining office tenant Berger Commercial Realty and SOLO Shoppes retail tenants Legacy Fit and Bank of OZK. Berger Commercial will be relocating to a new, state-of-the-art office on the 4th floor.

Located at 550 S. Andrews Avenue, the building stands 7 stories tall, with 6 stories consisting of approximately 86,000 square feet of professional office space with an entire floor totaling approximately 12,500 square feet. The first floor is comprised of approximately 7,500 square feet of retail space, of which 4,400 square feet is prime restaurant/patio currently available for lease. The adjacent parking garage will consist of 634 spaces, along with The SOLO Shoppes, which will comprise 13,000 square feet of traditional storefront retail. The entire project will total just over 100,000 square feet of commercial space in addition to the parking garage.

The property formerly housed the 32,500-square-foot Justice Building, which was purchased by Blackhawk in December 2013. Berger represented Blackhawk in its purchase and currently provides leasing and property management for the project.

Berger Commercial Realty/Corfac International Senior Vice President Stephen Hyatt and Judy Dolan represented seller Frank C. Adler Trust in the $3.8 million sale of 4.36 acres of vacant land located at the 900 block of East Dania Beach Blvd., to PRH Investments LLC.

The subject property is a 4.36-acre development site is zoned GTWY-MU, Beach Gateway Mixed-Use District. The property is located close to the Fort Lauderdale International Airport and the Port Everglades Cruise and Seaport along a main thoroughfare between US1 and the beach.

Dania Beach has multiple development projects in the works, including Dania Pointe, a mixed-use development, several hotels, and new multi-family development projects.

PRH Investments LLC is planning a multi-family development.

“Near the beach, shops, restaurants and other exciting developments, this site is the perfect location for the multi-family project that PRH Investments has planned,” commented Hyatt.

After 16 years at its current location at 1600 Southeast 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale, Berger Commercial Realty/Corfac International is relocating to a new, state-of-the-art office on the 4th floor of the 550 Building, located at 550 South Andrews Avenue in Downtown Fort Lauderdale in the heart of the fast emerging SOLO District.

In business for 23 years with offices located in Fort Lauderdale, Miramar and Boynton Beach, Berger Commercial Realty currently leases and manages the 100,316-square-foot, 7-story Class A office building, soon to be the new home of the company. Nautical Ventures is relocating a Marine Superstore from Dania Beach and also operates at other locations throughout Florida. This facility will include a boat dealership and showroom.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Dr. Kate Campbell and Bayview Therapy will open its second location in Coral Springs thanks to a new lease brokered by Berger Commercial Realty/CORFAC International. Bayview Therapy recently hired Berger Commercial Realty to relocate their East Fort Lauderdale office, and are now opening a Coral Springs office, growing their practice to serve clients in West Broward.
