Our Continuous Commitment during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Given the environment surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic the world is experiencing at the moment, our management team is evaluating the impact the issue may have on commercial properties. In South Florida over the past several weeks we have seen some tenants cut back on labor or institute a work from home policy; reduce hours of business operation; and/or stop work hours all together. It depended on the type of business and how it was impacting their customers and functionality. Given the overall disruption to the majority of business in general, as you may already anticipate, the impact could be substantial to real estate. With the understanding the real estate landscape has changed, the Berger Commercial Team continues to provide Client Centric Real Estate Services to our tenants and property owners.

 

 

Drawing on the valuable experience we gained in the recession that began in 2008 our Management and Accounting Teams are working to keep in contact with all tenants. While collection of rent is of course a priority,  meeting the needs of our tenants so that they are in the best position to pay rent is as equally important. With that in mind our Property Management Team has continued to maintain their assigned properties as well as implemented cost saving changes throughout the portfolio.  By continuing our visability at the properties as well as an open dialogue with our tenants, we are able to best manage the needs of our property owners.

 

During the Covid 19 Pandemic, our Client Centric services have not stopped with the management of the asset.  During this time our Brokerage Team has been busy leasing space.  Yes, even under the current circumstances our team is doing deals and adding to our portfolios cashflow. Additionally our Tenant Represetation Team has been working with their clients (past and present) to meet their needs.  Many of these tenants are using this time to right size, up or down, their real estate footprint. In many cases they have engineered a “win win” for both landlord and tenant.
